Our ultimate distance saddle is built around one idea: tunable suspension. Underneath the sleek cover and firm padding sits a lightweight elastomer spring system you can tune to your own weight and preference.

Here’s the problem with a traditional saddle. When you hit a bump, the foam compresses, the base flexes, and the rails flex — and all of it is designed around a single rider weight, roughly 220 lbs. The further you are from that number, the stiffer the ride feels. Most manufacturers compensate with ever-softer foam, which collapses over the course of a ride. How fast it collapses depends on your weight, the foam density, how long you’re out, and how old the saddle is.

We took a different route. Build the comfort into a base that’s tuned to your weight, and you sidestep collapsing foam entirely.

On glass-smooth pavement you feel the shape and firmness of the saddle. As the road gets rough, the elastomer suspension absorbs the bump energy instead of passing it up to your sit bones, lower back, shoulders, and neck.

Every saddle ships with one of five elastomer spring sets — extra soft (white), soft (yellow), medium (red), firm (blue), or extra firm (black) — giving up to 4/10 inch of travel. We custom build each order and install the right elastomer for your weight.

Heads up: the PRS Alpha uses an exceptionally durable cover that takes about a 30-hour break-in.
